Stok Kangri ( 6,153 m) is the highest mountain in the Stok Range of the Himalayas in the Ladakh region. The peak is located in Hemis National Park, 12 km southwest of the trail head at 3,610 m  in the village of Stok and around 15  km southwest of the Ladakh capital of Leh. Despite its altitude, Stok Kangri is a popular peak and is often climbed as an initial non-technical foray into high altitude mountaineering.

Stok Expedition is one of the famous trekking peak expedition in Ladakh. Stok Kangri peak is a great place with the best travel pleasures. After trekking for some days from Shang Sumdo adds more beauty in this trek because this trek goes through passes like Shang La, Matho La etc. Which gives spectacular views of Stok Range.

The climb on Stok Kangri is very challenging and is a great adventure. Though the climb is relatively safe and is a great place with the most fascinating slopes though low, yet the trek is one that promises to be the best and the most interesting. Those who  love adventures for them Stok Kangri Expediton can be one good introduction of Mountaineering. It gives brief description about mountaineering if snow is there in Stok Kangri in June-July and if snow is not there in Stok  like in September then it is normal peak climbing.
